It's finally happening. The Grinch's in the office are dying off (fiiiiiiinally!) and I'm slowly Christmas-ifying my house (this largely consists of chucking reindeers, candles and fairy lights on every open surface in the house). Beauty and lifestyle advent calendars are one of my favourite things about the holiday season and in this spirit I decided to take a look at the best and brightest out in the virtual Christmas market this year.
Packed full of little treats, the Benefit Party Poppers calendar is one of the best value for money calendars out there at just over £30 at Debenhams. It includes the every popular They're Real! mascara, bronzers, lip glosses, highlighter, cheek stain and even a little tube of the award winning POREfessional primer.
Lush have truly out-done themselves with this little beauty. At just under £50, Lush have managed to craft a real Christmas Party in a box. This one contains 12 products and all of the best Christmas goodies are included: the Snow Angel bath melt, the adorable Butterbear bath bomb, the Yog Nog soap and the The Comforter shower cream are just a few of the surprises inside. Dreamy!
A real luxury at £149, the Liberty London advent calendar is a heady mix of lavish opulence and is one of the most extravagant calendars out there this year. Containing products by Decleor, NARS, Kiehl, REN and even a Diptyque Christmas Candle, this is the calendar for the most hardcore Christmas enthusiasts.
Talking of candles, the wonderful Diptyque have gone all out this year with their Christmas Calendar for the candle addict. The most expensive calendar I've seen out there at £250, Diptyque have spared no expense and have included a wonderful mix of candles, fragrances, body creams and precious oils. Scents such as pomander, genevrier and opoponax will get die hard Diptyque fans excited this Christmas (if the purse strings can reach!).
Yankee Candle have long been a firm favourite of mine, and this years calendar was a snip at £16 (it's currently £13.99 down from £27.99 on the Yankee Candle website- use the link above). Each door hides a lovely tealight which I've been using with a festive burner I picked up in Frankfurt Christmas Market last year. The fragrances included are: Bundle Up, Candy Cane Lane, Icicles, Spiced Orange, Snowflake Cookie and Winter Glow Tealights and Christmas Eve Votive. Yes, I've opened one door early- I couldn't resist!
